Eagles Down

FA TROPHY 2nd ROUND
Att: 356

SUTTON UNITED - 2   [Fowler 65. Nurse 74]
BEDFORD TOWN - 0

Having met Stortford in the FA Cup when completely out of form and subsequently missing out on all the lovely wonga when we got our arses dumped out, it was quite a relief to have won a couple of matches recently and go into this Trophy tie unbeaten in 7.

A Slightly Delayed Kick Off

RYMAN PREMIER DIVISION
Att: 571

KETTERING TOWN - 0
SUTTON UNITED - 1   [Nurse 43]

What a strange one this was!

Easily our longest trip this season and our worst nightmare would be a tuesday night run up into Northamptonshire. Naturally, the hosts hung on in the FA Cup a couple of rounds more than us and our Saturday trip was off. A Tuesday night it was.

'Stoke Stalemate

RYMAN PREMIER DIVISION
Att: 437

SUTTON UNITED - 2   [Bailey 19. Fowler 59]
BASINGSTOKE TOWN - 2  [McCallister 21.62]

The U’s made it 6 matches unbeaten on Saturday with this latest home draw, this time against mid-table Basingstoke. Unfortunately, this means that's now only 2 wins from 11 at GGL and we’re still without a league win since the end of August at home. Thank god for the decent away record!

Getting Bizzie...

RYMAN LEAGUE CUP 2nd ROUND
Att: 168

SUTTON UNITED - 2   [Fowler 17. Bailey 84]
METROPOLITAN POLICE - 0

After Saturdays somewhat ‘interesting’ visit to Northwood, we’re back to the real nitty gritty. The big one. The Bryco Cup! (Don’t miss it!).

Welcome To Northwood

RYMAN PREMIER DIVISION
Att: 259

NORTHWOOD - 1     [Moore 79]
SUTTON UNITED - 2   [Bailey 6. Gray 45]

So far this season it’s been our away form keeping us afloat and after Saturday's trip to North West London, it looks like it shall continue to do so until we decide to start winning home matches. Let’s hope someone was down at GGL watching AFC Wimbledon tonk our tenants-for-the-day, Cobham, in a CCL match and taking notes.

For Ducks Sake!

RYMAN PREMIER DIVISION
Att: 414

SUTTON UNITED - 2   [Hanlan 18. Bailey 53]
AYLESBURY UNITED - 2    [Bubb 61. Glynn 80]

Despite the pony nature of the season so far for the U’s, we’ve not had too many draws. Obviously JR & the squad had also noticed this and thought they’d tot up a quick double. Hence tonight’s single point when we really wanted/needed all 3.

Eagles Swoop

RYMAN PREMIER DIVISION
Att: 518

SUTTON UNITED - 1   [Fowler 33]
BEDFORD TOWN - 1    [Howarth 81]

Normally, going close on 3 weeks during the season without footy would have us climbing the walls like a 5 year old who’s just had his E-number laden can of coke snatched away from him. But strangely, not this time. This break was surprisingly relaxed.
